Emma Watson

I love Emma Watson, it's an admiration not just of her style, but her elegance and basically her whole life.

I want to be Hermione Granger, there, I said it.

I also want to be wearing this insane purple Burberry trench RIGHT NOW.

Yellow Gowns

At the Tony Awards the other day Lea Michele wore a stunning yellow gown by Zac Posen.
It's the latest in a line of stunning dresses that have, in the past few years, been stealing awards shows.

Although Lea looks stunning I don't think this dress comes anywhere close to Michelle Williams 2006 Vera Wang Oscar gown.

Or for that matter Diane Kruger's SAG award dress.

I am a huge fan of this colour, especially in gowns however I find Lea Michele's to be a tad drab. I wish she'd spruced it up a little with a House of Harlow head piece perhaps or some Chopard diamond bracelets. She got so close, but didn't quite seal the deal for me. Maybe next time Lea.

Australian Designers

It may be slightly late to report on the Rosemount Australian Fashion Week but here are a few of my favourite looks from my favourite Australian designers:

Manning Cartells collection was fantastic this fashion week. I really liked all the different textures used especially in this piece with the tweed and the silk.

Camilla and Marcs collection was much more simple and relaxed. All the looks were very wearable, especially this layered look reminiscent of the Olsen twins.

Therese Rawsthorne was giving edgy looks pastel and neutral makeovers with the use of pale pale purples, beige's and also some earth tones which created an interesting contrast within the looks of the collection.
Can not wait for all of these pieces to hit the shelves

Christiane F (Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo)

If you haven't seen this movie I highly recommend it.

I seem to have a penchant for drug movies and Christiane F is one of the best I've seen.

The story centres around Christiane who is fourteen and bored, she starts doing drugs and hangs out in an underground train station with some older boys before getting involved in prostitution and eventually becoming a heroin addict.

The more strung out these kids get the more attractive they seem to become. I find the whole story (which is based on the life of real life Christiane F) fascinating.

Plus, David Bowie makes a cameo. What more could you ask for?

Chloe S/S10

I absolutely love Chloe, especially this dress modelled by Siri Tollerod.

My Scanner isn't working, and I can't find this fantastic picture by Gerard Uferas anywhere. Sorry about the crap quality but I think this photo is absolutely beautiful.

I also have the perfect vintage denim jacket to go with this dress. Putting it on my wish list as we speak.

Greetings and Salutations

The first post was always going to be the most awkward. How does one introduce oneself when they don't know who (or if anyone) will be reading?
If you have stumbled across my page, here are some things about me that might keep you interested:
  • I hate the term 'fashionista'. With a passion. If you refer to yourself as a 'fashionista' turn back now, you are not welcome.
  • I like to read. Even motion sickness can't stop me.
  • I'm a closet doodler. I draw clothes mostly, and have probably got enough sketches for six or seven A/W collections.

If I don't sound utterly stupid, please, keep reading.
